Authentic Alignment: Returning to the Golden Path

In this solo episode of Frequency, Michael Edwards looks at how misalignment happens and how to find the way back. He traces his own drift through his Human Design as a splenic projector, and the places he stopped honouring his own chart. He reads David Hawkins's levels of consciousness as degrees of forgetting who you are, and explains why perfection is a mirage built on shame. What is worth measuring, he says, is not whether you stay aligned but how quickly you notice when you are not.

Hosted by Michael Edwards, Spiritual Confidante, Advisor, and Oracle to the ultra-influential and the one of a kind.

Why do spiritually aware people still fall out of alignment?

So I can definitely track all of this, as usual, back to one specific thing that I often say, which is that our unconscious desire to belong is hands down the thing that is going to make us self-sabotage and self-betray again and again and again and again, and this time for me is no different as I am here in Costa Rica and have made so many beautiful friends.

What does Maya mean in spirituality, and is it really an illusion?

In modern spirituality, people talk about the Maya as illusion, as though it's not real. But Maya really means to measure. So when you measure something, you limit it. You take it away from the infinite, and you limit it, and in the limiting of it, you make it something.

Michael Edwards ·

How do you read the Hawkins scale of consciousness?

We can also look at this through the Hawkins scale, the layers of consciousness, the levels of vibration. A lot of people think that those layers, because they're labeled with emotions, right? Like fear, pride, desire, courage, neutrality, willingness, reason, love, peace, joy, bliss. We think of them as those emotions. Oh, I just need to get into a loving state. That's how I raise my vibration. But not really. They really represent levels of separation, levels in which we have fallen into the Maya, right?

Michael Edwards ·

What does perfectionism have to do with getting out of alignment?

The idea of perfection is an illusion, is a mirage, built in shame, is a construct of the mind, a sickness of the mind that makes us feel lesser for our human experience. But our job here is not to transcend the human experience. In other words, it's not to escape reality. It's to live reality beautifully and with our divinity, and that means sometimes forgetting and then remembering.

Why does setting financial goals take you out of alignment?

And so I set financial goals for my business, which I think was really the choice that I made that took me out of alignment. Now, why would setting goals take us out of alignment? Well, for me, and probably for you if you're listening, this is something that's gonna take us out of our body, out of our instinct, out of our channel, out of our wisdom, out of our intuition, and into our mind, right?

Everything is made of one thing, the pure light of consciousness, the ever-pervasive awareness that is awareness itself. You might call it Source, you might call it God, you might call it the universe. But at the most macro level, everything is made of this one thing, and that one thing resonates in its totality at this frequency of pure bliss, of pure ecstasy, of pure love, of pure joy.

All right. Hello, hello, gorgeous human being. Welcome to this episode of Frequency with me, your host, Michael Edwards. We are gonna be talking today all about alignment, getting lost in the Maya, in the illusion of reality, and finding your way back. And I'm speaking to you about this today because I recently have had an experience of getting lost, getting slightly misaligned, as we all do, and then quickly finding my way back. But in every forgetting and remembering that we go through, there's an opportunity for more alignment to cultivate more awareness of what that is. So I'm gonna share with you today some of what's happened, and how some of all this has come about.

I've got this incredible community that I'm surrounded by, so many things that I've wanted and desired my whole life have come into my reality, and I'm so excited about that, and I've really been enjoying all of the celebrations.

We gather all the time. Dinners, hangouts, sunset beach walks, events, dances, there's just all kinds of things going on all the time. And I know from my design, I'm a Human Design splenic projector, almost a reflector. I only have two centers defined, in the lower centers. I'm also a two-four profile, which essentially means that I need a lot of space. I need a lot of time to really cleanse and be in my own energy, and I wasn't fully honoring that in the way that I was showing up in relationship and community and navigating through my own life, and I can track the getting out of alignment, we'll call it. I feel like that feels like a bad word, and so maybe I want to address this first because every time I say this, I almost feel a sense of shame.

And I don't feel like it's my shame. I have an awareness of certain coaches or mentors or people on the internet who have really shamed people publicly for getting misaligned, or saying that becoming misaligned, or making a mistake or losing your way for a moment is a bad thing. I really wanna emphasize this. This is not a bad thing. This is part of the human experience. We all get misaligned. We all forget the higher truth. We all get distracted. The 3D is, in many ways, a world of distraction, and we're gonna talk about that in more detail today. But it's just the reality.

And anybody who claims or pretends or performs that they do not sometimes fall out of alignment and then re-find their alignment is lying to you. And I wanna say too, if there's a part of you that rises and is like, "Oh, but Michael, maybe you're just a little bit misaligned, and you don't know what some of these people are like," I do know what people are like behind the scenes. My clients and my peer group include some of the top most prolific people in the transformation and personal development industry, professional athletes, multi-millionaires, people with seven, eight, nine-figure net worths. I have been around many, many, many kinds of people.

And I can tell you with absolute certainty that everybody forgets sometimes. Everybody gets misaligned sometimes. The goal of perfection is an illusion. It's an idea that's based in shame. It's not based in the reality of the human experience. It's so funny because sometimes when we claim something and we really let it move through our channel, it dissolves the not-self.

And I literally feel, I don't know if you feel this too listening to me, any shame that I was experiencing dissolving as I claim and powerfully speak this truth that there is nothing wrong with me. There is nothing wrong with you for losing your way and experiencing a little bit of confusion, a little bit of distraction, a little bit of misalignment.

This incarnation is an incarnation of forgetting and remembering.

And so, one thing, if we were to measure this, although it's not really necessary to measure this experience and this process, we could say that what's valuable is not perfection, but the speed at which you notice and come back into alignment. And it's interesting because I was having this conversation yesterday with a friend of mine here who is very tuned in to all things magic and energy and esoterica, and she was saying to me, "You seem to have noticed and got back on really fast." And I thought, "Yeah, that is true. I would agree with that." And I was thinking that to myself as well, this took maybe two weeks to notice, oh, something's a little bit off, and then to come back to the center versus, I think when we're unconscious to all of this stuff, it can take months or even sometimes years that we fall off our path and we get misaligned before we really find our way back to the center and back to the truth.

So I wanna share, there were many things that I think affected me. I'll just tell you briefly some of the things that happened, and then I'll talk to you about, I think, the main thing that I see that took me out a little bit. So I was really trying to help a lot of other spiritual entrepreneurs here, so there's a lot of really gifted coaches and healers and mentors, and when I say gifted, I really mean gifted. You can feel the embodiment of their magic and what they do and really next level skill set. And it was very apparent to me that many of them were either living in lack or just not fully able to align their businesses to themselves, their energies, and their skill set in a way that was lucrative and giving them the level of freedom, 'cause it's really freedom that we want in life, that they all wanted.

And so I spent a lot of time and a lot of my energy trying to help people. And there's not a regret in this. It felt really good to get here, and to pour into community, and to really support people in different ways. Help, share different kind of codes, money codes, business codes, and insights and reflections for people. I know for a number of people reflected back to me they loved what I modeled, which is that I'm doing this thing that I love, and it's my purpose, and I'm living a really great life, both in terms of the quality of my life and the financial freedom that I'm experiencing. And so that felt good.

And I can see where spending a lot of time in these fields and these energies of lack and scarcity and fear, doubt, and worry also affected me. And one of my things is I can blame sometimes, and so there's a part of me that wants to blame, but I'm also practicing coming back to the self-responsibility of that and going, "And I wasn't diligent enough about, one, taking my space, and two, my spiritual practices, and really clearing my field, and coming back to zero point energy, or I would say the center of my field in that."

I also was in a lot of conversations with people who have different belief systems or have a lot of doubt. There's a couple of people, one in particular who comes to mind, who is really in the mind and is really seeking answers and seeking truth, and I think was drawn to a clarity of spirit, I'm gonna say, that I have and embody. But rather than try to passively receive that, there was a lot of questioning and challenging. And at first I found it really stimulating because, in the beginning I was having some of these conversations with people and helping them orient to things the way that I had, and they were in some of the thought loops and traps that we get into. And so I was easily able to guide people out of some of these things. But then I realized it became too much. It would be like Friday night at movie night or just different times that I really didn't wanna have these existential conversations, and really just wasn't in the mood, to be quite frank, to have all of my belief systems challenged.

And I know that that wasn't their intention, but again, being as porous as I am, very sensitive, open channel, energetically porous, being in those fields of doubt in a time that really I should have been off, that I should have been in my human, or perhaps that I just shouldn't have even been there, to be honest, it gets in, and this is the whole thing. It's energetic. Everything is spiritual and energetic first. It's spiritual and energetic first. It gets into your field, then it's gonna present in your thoughts. You're gonna have different thoughts, different perspectives, see reality differently. And then if you don't clock it in those two layers, you're then going to start to have things show up in your reality, and you're gonna get the feedback of being in a very different reality, and that is what started to happen.

It was pretty fast feedback, and I'm quite sensitive to it because, I mean, this is like my whole body of work and my whole world. But I was able to see that feedback from reality where things were not at the level of ease. My money hose was kinked for a little bit. There's just a lot of feedback. Another thing is being around really successful generators and mani-gens. I'm talking people that are holding eight and nine figure per year empires and really strong sacral energy, very strong in their Capricorn, Taurus kind of world builder, this is what I'm here to do, running a team, making things happen kind of energy.

And that is one of the prime archetypes, especially in one-to-one settings, that I love to advise and to share my skills and my gifts with, and there's a really beautiful energetic and monetary exchange that can happen in those settings. And I recognize that I didn't fully hold that. It's one of the shadows related to my Human Design profile, my four line. And some of the Pisces energy, too, is it can be very soft, very lacking boundaries, and I didn't hold that fully in the way that I should to really stay in, I'm the seer, the oracle, and really staying in my gifts of being able to see them, see where they're in disordered or chasing energy, which I did recognize, and help them come back to their alignment, to their center, to their channel, and to also hold a structured container around that advising, and also a structure that allows me to receive and be monetarily nourished for those gifts.

This is so powerful. I don't know if you are feeling this right now. I have become aware that it's really powerful. I think it's really powerful to a degree for all of us to speak things out loud, but it's particularly powerful for me with my energy mechanics, how they work. And I'm noticing right now as I articulate this into the podcast, my whole energy body is shifting in response to me speaking these truths. And it's interesting because I do journal this stuff, and I sometimes voice note it, and I will talk about it and contemplate with friends. But I've never quite done a podcast like this where I speak to what happened and what I did and what was misaligned, and then really say the truths for myself.

And it is activating me. I feel my lower centers lighting up right now. So my hope is that you're listening to this and you're getting the codes, you're getting the transmission. It's interesting. There's a part of me mentally that is, oh, if you overshare and are over-vulnerable and tell people what you're experiencing, then they won't respect you because you're sharing where you didn't do the right thing.

But I think it actually takes a lot of maturity, a lot of certainty in self. One thing you'll notice is that there's no part of me that feels not enough because of this. I'm like, oh, I fell into the mirage of life, and I noticed, and silly me, and here I'm realigning using my tools. And I'm gonna use this as a teachable moment and talk to you about what happened because this is the reality that we all move through. I invite you to receive it that way, and I also invite you to reflect on if you have judgments about the imperfections that I'm displaying. That is a place for your shadow work.

That is something I remember, when I was in a more immature state. Whenever I would see successful people that would reveal any kind of vulnerability or suffering, I immediately judged them, and I was like, "Oh, they're faking it," or, "They're not good or not powerful in some way," because I was roped into the illusion of perfection, which is a reflection of my not enough-ness, our collective not enough-ness, right? I mean, it's really an energy in the field, but we often relate to it through familial stuff, a childlike part of us is still seeking a parent's love and approval through the performing of perfection, but that's not reality. That is just not the reality of the human experience at all. And so it's actually more real, more raw, more truthful to share the highs and lows that we experience than it is to pretend that we're perfect.

And I would notice, because when someone shows an imperfection or a vulnerability and we label that as bad or wrong and we lower them consciously or unconsciously in our awareness and create this subtle hierarchy and we devalue them, that is actually one of the traits of narcissism. I'm not saying that you're a narcissist, but understanding narcissistic psychology helped me really understand this because it's a self-esteem dysregulation issue. And so noticing, if when people show vulnerability or if they show struggle, for example, for me, when people were doing multimillion dollars per year and I was like, "They have the answers for success and money," and then if they shared that they had a challenging month financially, which, newsflash, everybody does.

People with all sizes of business hit cashflow restrictions and squeezes. That is just the nature of business. It doesn't need to be something that we expect or happen all the time, but it is a reality and it does not mean anything about anyone or their level of success or embodiment. Obviously, if they're saying, "I'm doing like millions every month," and then they're not, that's something different. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the fact that anyone at any level of business can have a dip in cashflow. And that's just a reality of business, and the more we can detach any meaning, any shame from that is incredibly mature and incredibly helpful.

But I invite you to notice yourself noticing this, where people show vulnerability, where they show imperfection, whether it's through finances or love or what I'm sharing that I went through this thing. I'm like, "Oh, I got distracted. I got a little bit misaligned." And you devalue and maybe even discard that. Remember that devaluing and discarding are functions of self-esteem dysregulation. So that is always going to be something that is a reflection of our own not enough-ness. And so I wanna invite that if you notice yourself doing that, that is an opportunity for some deep inner work, some shadow work to look at what parts of you don't feel lovable.

The part of you that feels like a failure, the part of you that feels not enough, the part of you that feels unworthy unless you're hitting top figures, top metrics, whatever it is every month. I'm not sure if I finished my thought about the generators, so I'll just say, being in the fields of these really successful generators, and they also guided me. I guided them, but I also let them guide me, which was a mistake, and maybe not a mistake, but I should have listened to what they had to say and let it wash through me. Whereas they were very like, "And you can build a team, and you can do this, and you can be seen this way." And I know in my heart of hearts, I know intuitively, and it's in my design and all my charts, that is not the way that I'm meant to operate. But I did not fully honor that.

I didn't get totally distracted because I do have this pretty deeply embodied. But I did get into this thing of, oh, I've gotta move, I've gotta move, I've gotta move, which is not the way that I operate. And finally, and this is the thing that I can track the most, after all of these things I joined an accountability group with a group of male spiritual entrepreneurs here, which I first wanna say has been one of the most beautiful experiences and really recognizing that I don't think I realized that I didn't have brotherhood in my life, and having male friends and people to support me and to support has just been so beautiful in so many ways.

And there is an energy of sacred masculine and accountability and following through with my word that has been deeply helpful and deeply nourishing from being in that circle and that space. And I can also recognize that I violated my design in a number of ways in order to conform to the space, and this is the most important thing that I wanna dive into and help us understand because it is the very part of me that's going, "This meant so much to me," that is also the vulnerability through which I allowed this energetic leak to happen, and it's this part of me that deeply wanted to belong to that circle and in that space. And so one of the things that we did was set kind of accountability goals for each week and then also speak out goals of what we wanted to create. And so again, I wanna say that having this weekly accountability was really helpful for me in some ways. It helped me track things in time.

I think sometimes we're like, "Oh, yeah, this is on my radar. I'm gonna do that, but I haven't done it yet." And huge amounts of time can go by sometimes without us finishing or executing those things. And so the time tracking that came with that shared awareness was very helpful. And I made such a mistake when I set goals. Every time I set financial goals or targets, my business goes backwards every single time. And so in the unconscious pressure to belong, I felt the pressure to set goals.

The second I set this goal and I go, "Okay, I wanna hit this money target in this amount of time," I now have to figure out the how, which violates one of the most important principles, which is that the how's not really up to us. And so it took me into this thing of, okay, how am I gonna do it?

I'm gonna expand my team. I'm gonna do this launch. And another piece from that is that I ended up doing this launch, which really was beautiful in a number of ways, but was also misaligned. And so because I had been around all these people here, and helping them with their businesses, and helping them with their money stuff, and helping them with their pricing, and mostly with messaging and sales, I was like, "Oh, this is so valuable," and I don't think of myself as a strategist, but then when we have these conversations, I realize how much I've actually learned about business and how much I've translated it from the mainstream, I'll say, into a way which is much more aligned for, I think, someone who's committed to alignment, who is a light worker and walking a deeply spiritual path.

And so I thought, oh, I'll do an offer around this. And so I did the offer, and because it was different than what I normally do, I wasn't able to do that through my normal channels, which is like this, creating long-form content and then having something on the back end. I felt like I had to do a launch, and I felt like I had to promote it on social media, which already is misaligned 'cause it asks me to do a lot.

And so sure enough, I made the decision to do that, and I told myself, it'll just be a one-time thing. But then the deadlines are on. There's the, okay, this is when the free event is. This is when the paid event starts. Now we need all the things. We need all the landing pages.

We need all the stuff that goes with that. I need to promote it. I need to make reels. I need to talk about it on social media. I need to talk about it. We need payment links. We need the team on board. All these things. None of those things are inherently bad, but it was the pressure for me of, I went into figuring it out, like, how do I figure this out?

How do I make this happen? And then the time pressure is really the thing that killed me. And it could say that the time pressure is a problem, and it could also say that it's my level of skill with holding a certain level of consciousness in the face of that. I don't think it's really aligned for me to do, but I could challenge myself and say, "Well, there's a version of you that could do that and also stay in a certain level of consciousness," but I did not do that this time. And so what that looked like is in the pressure of having to get things done every day, was then really focused on that, and my days and my time became about that, and I completely lost my connection to spirit, to Source, whatever word you wanna use for that, God, the universe, the one consciousness. I would say the pure light of consciousness is actually the word that resonates, although the words are just labels and the thing is really beyond any label. But I lost my connection to that thing, which really for me has become a persistent awareness of the true nature of reality.

And it's this awareness. Oof, I can feel this shifting in my body too as I even tune into this. This awareness, this persistent, pervasive awareness of the pure light of consciousness, I would say of the awareness that pervades all awareness, really is the thing that's at the core of so much of what I do. Even as I use the words to reach for the idea of this, I feel myself touching that awareness, and I feel a sense of peace and magic coming over my body and my field. And I normally practice being so deeply anchored into this highest truth, this highest awareness. And what happens when we get misaligned or we get confused, we get distracted, we get hooked, is what I usually call it, is we're getting hooked into the Maya.

And I wanna talk to you actually a bit more deeply about this today, because I think in New Age spirituality people just describe the Maya as an illusion, and there's this very matrix-y relationship with reality where it's not really real. And I've certainly communicated it and been in a relationship with it in that way in the past. But as I mature in my spiritual path, I'm realizing that this can be a little bit of a trap. It can lead to a little bit of nihilism, which is the idea that none of this is real, and so none of this matters, and so what's the point? And I see that every now and then when people move into this. And so I wanna invite you into a new relationship with all of this.

So, we can say that everything is made of one thing, the pure light of consciousness, the ever-pervasive awareness that is awareness itself. You might call it Source, you might call it God, you might call it the universe. But at the most macro level, everything is made of this one thing, and that one thing resonates in its totality at this frequency of pure bliss, of pure ecstasy, of pure love, of pure joy. It is so beautifully high vibrational, and we hear those words, but we often conflate them with our human experience of those emotions. But emotions are something that rise and fall and are responses to a stimulus. So when we talk about these frequencies, we're not talking about them as emotions, although we may experience a resonance when we're in that emotional state.

We're talking about a persistence. The true nature of reality, the true nature of consciousness is that it is always in this state of bliss, of ecstasy, of enoughness. There is no incompleteness. There is no lack. There is no despair. It's the background hum of the universe, this soft blue glow of love, joy, and infinite bliss.

And if you've ever experienced a meditative state, when we get into that state, this is the bliss that we're experiencing. It doesn't come from an outside source. It comes from a stripping away of all the things that are in the way of our awareness and of our awareness expanding into that greater awareness.

So that is there and available to us in every now. And obviously that's not our experience all the time, and so the other aspect of consciousness is that it conceals itself through the Maya. And again, in modern spirituality, people talk about the Maya as illusion, as though it's not real. But Maya really means to measure. So when you measure something, you limit it. You take it away from the infinite, and you limit it, and in the limiting of it, you make it something. And so as the Maya creates these layers of separation and limits the one consciousness, it creates all of the things that we see and feel and experience, everything that we can see, hear, taste, touch, and smell, and us ourselves as fractals of that one divine consciousness.

And so it's important with this awareness that we realize that everything is divine. And so again, a place that we go wrong a lot in modern spirituality is that we are looking at the 3D world as like this dead, dense world, and we're trying to escape up into this pure light of consciousness. But the pure light of consciousness pervades all reality. It's everywhere. It's everything. And our work is, yes, to remember that truth, but not to escape from the illusion, to realize it for what it really is, that it's this divine dance, and to dance with it.

To be fully and deeply invested in our lives, but also so beautifully detached, that is the real work. That is the real art. And this is such an important distinction for me because I'm not interested in the kind of detachment where we go and live and meditate on a mountain, and we remove ourselves from the world so that we can experience this bliss.

I would actually say that this is a spiritual trap. This is one of the things that Buddhism gets really into, a level of detachment. That's what nirvana is. It's one of the first states of bliss where we can experience this bliss state by removing ourselves from reality, and this is our first point of contact with this state. And there's multiple ways that you can access it. You can access it by expanding your awareness beyond your human awareness and realizing that this pure light of consciousness bliss frequency is the true nature of reality that pervades all reality and all awareness. I can feel it right now even as I talk about it.

And you may also find it as you go inwards to yourself at the deepest level. If you go in, in, in, in, in to you, your core, beyond the conditioning, beyond the mind, beyond even the emotional body, through even the energy body into the center, the center of your being, the center of your field, you will also find this bliss state because you are made, of course, of the pure light of the one consciousness. And so there are different ways to access this awareness. But another trap can be that we make our entire spiritual practice about escaping from reality into this awareness rather than living with this awareness and with reality as the divine dance that it is. So the Maya is the layers of separation of the one consciousness that creates what we experience as reality, the concealment or the divine play.

And you can imagine this as... Imagine a beach, okay? Imagine all the grains of sand that are just laying there on the beach flat. And we could say that the sand in its stillness is the pure light of consciousness. It's vast, if this beach is all there was, then the sand, it's infinite. It spans the whole beach, yet it does nothing, and it makes nothing.

It's simply there. And the sand would be in this state of bliss because it would represent the pure light of consciousness. But if I were to go and scoop up a clump of sand in my hands, that is the Maya. I would be measuring the sand, right? I would be taking an amount of the sand from the infinite, so limiting it, but making it into something, and then I could take that ball of sand and shape it into a sandcastle, and I could continue to do this, to scoop up and limit the sand and shape it into a sandcastle. That is what the Maya does.

The sandcastle is still made up of the one consciousness. It's still made up of all the sand, but it is now in a form that we can experience and interact with. And everything that goes on in keeping that sandcastle as a sandcastle, the physics, the surface tension between all of the particles of sand, all of that is part of the Maya. It's part of the separation.

It's part of the concealment. It's part of the dance. And so it's not bad or wrong. It's part of the natural law that literally gives us the ability to experience a sandcastle. And so what some of us do in our spiritual practice is to be like, "Well, the sandcastle's not real. It's not the truth, and I'm gonna stomp back the sandcastle into the flatness of the beach, and then I can be at peace because there's no disturbances in the sand."

But this also takes away everything that we can experience in life, right? We want to experience things. You can only sit on this flat beach for so long before you're like, "Well, I'd love to see some things." And you can make all kinds of things out of the pure light of consciousness. You can make partners, and you can make the world.

You can make cell phones. You can make nature. You can make lovers. You can make passion. You can make intimacy. You can make friendships. You can make businesses. You can make money. You can make everything you can buy with money. You can make spirituality. You can make books. You can make stories. Everything that we experience in the world is made out of the pure light of consciousness.

We came here to experience that stuff. We want to experience these things. But the other thing that happens, and this is more talking about getting hooked, is that we forget the true nature of reality, and we start to believe that that sandcastle is the ultimate truth. So let's imagine that maybe that sandcastle is actually a sand house that we somehow built, and we have, through our ego, our ego attachment to "I am," we've bonded with that house.

We've built a sandcastle house on the beach. Stay with me here. And we go, "This is my home." And my safety and my worth depends on this. If anything happens to this, I lose shelter. If it isn't up to keep, then people will see it, and they'll judge me because I'm really judging myself based on the state of this sandcastle.

And maybe there's some wind, maybe some waves hit it, and the sandcastle starts to deteriorate. And our literal sense of self, our relationship with our worth and who we are as a being, and what it means to be alive, gets completely conflated with the state of this sandcastle. So much so that we suffer, that we feel guilt, that we feel shame. Maybe we feel like we're not lovable. Maybe we self-sabotage. Maybe we do things that we know are not healthy for us, that are not good for us, that are not in alignment for us. Maybe our intuition is probably speaking to us going, "It's okay. Just let it go." But our mind is like, "No, people praised me for this sandcastle, so I must maintain this sandcastle."

There's really a storm, but we're out there, we're scooping sand, and we're trying to patch up this house. And every time a bit of it loses shape or falls away, we're getting upset, and then we get into this perpetual state of despair. That's getting hooked. That's us getting hooked into the Maya, into the illusion. Or I should say, the limiting, the layering of the Maya has to be so real. It's gotta be so real that divine consciousness itself, which is you, could forget what it is so that it can deeply, deeply experience reality. All the joys, all the pleasures, all the sufferings as well.

In our human experience, we experience through polarity. We come to know love through hate and indifference. We come to know abundance through lack. We come to know expansion through restriction. And so we actually want to forget, even me in this piece, and I hope this will help you see why it's actually not a problem that I forgot and got misaligned.

I, as the divine fractal that I am, want to forget. Even though me and my human, I'm like, I don't wanna forget. I, as the consciousness experiencing itself in human form, want to forget sometimes so that I can remember. I can remember the ecstasy, the bliss that it is to remember the truth, to see the Maya for what it is, a concealment of the divine truth, and to remember my divinity and my connection to all that is. Oof, I feel this in my whole body. And as I am in this remembering and in this awareness, I experience such pure states of bliss, of overflow, of abundance, and nothing in my reality has even changed yet. I have changed because I've remembered the truth, and the me that I am when I remember this truth, when I have in my awareness an awareness of the bliss that is the pure light of consciousness that's here with me in every now, and I choose.

I choose to engage with the Maya, with the concealment, with the dance of life, not from a place of, ugh, I'm being pulled out of my bliss state into life. No, I chose this. It's a game. It's a game. I already am everything. I'm already whole. I'm already complete. There's nothing I have to do.

It's a game. It's a play. It's a dance, but I came here to play. I want to play. I get to play. That's when we're aligned. That's when we're in this powerful state when there's no need to chase, there's no need to make anything happen, to force, to manipulate because you already are everything. You already are whole.

You already are the truth. And when we have this persistent awareness of the true nature of reality, and we also see the formed sand for what it is, we remember the truth, which is that sand is malleable, just like reality is malleable. And we are able to not necessarily create every single thing that we want in this moment, but we are able to shape our reality in a way that is so beautiful.

In the me that's my self-worth is wrapped up in my sandcastle. It sounds so silly when you say it, but this is literally what we do, right?

Bills, someone's breaking up with me, I'm a bit fat, and we're like, "Oh my God, this defines what I am." It's a level of forgetting. It's a level of separation from the truth of what you are, and it's an identification with that. That's what the lowest field of vibration, the fear field, really is. The middle field is a more conscious remembering of the truth, and the highest field, love, joy, peace, and enlightenment, these aren't, oh, I go and I feel love for something. No, it's a spiritual and experiential state of being in which you're connected in your awareness to the pure light of consciousness, which is always in that state. And so those vibrations aren't coming from you stimulating yourself into those states. They're coming from a piercing through the illusion and the layers of separation into the truth.

And so that is actually how we raise our vibration, not by stimulating ourselves or getting ourselves into this thing, or "I'm a millionaire," but by remembering that we already are it. And this comes as an idea, and I really wanna invite, because I know some of you will be trying to filter this through your mind, that this is a very experiential thing, and that is the work. It's not a quick fix thing. It's not something that came to me overnight. It's something that I've deeply cultivated through my own spiritual journey, through my own work. And it's one of the core things that I teach the people that I work with.

And sometimes people do get impatient. I get people that come sometimes and they're like, "I wanna create this result." And I'm like, "Cool. We're gonna do this thing, and magic can happen." And then they'll be like, "Oh, great, I'm gonna come to do the work." And then sometimes it gets into this thing that's, "Where's my money?" or, "Where's my lover?" or, "Where's this?" And it's, I don't know, but I can tell you this, that you looking at that separation is taking you out of doing the work. And we know from the Hawkins scale that when we're in that higher vibration, we experience a different reality, right?

When we're in the lowest vibrational field, which again is a forgetting of the truth, we experience an uncooperative reality. We experience a very dense reality where things don't move unless we move them. It's like being in a reality filled with these dead blocks, and if you wanna build something, you've gotta put all the effort and all the energy into pushing the blocks around.

Whereas as we raise our vibration, or you could say as we are experientially aligned with this remembrance of the true nature of reality, we experience a more cooperative reality. We experience a loving reality. We experience a reality where sometimes we just think something and then it happens or, we have a question or maybe with a contemplation of "What could I do next?" or, "What could I do today?" And you just, you're fed the insights because you're open. You're open. Your channel is open. You're connected to consciousness itself, and so it's free to just flow through you and into you. There's a beautiful state that we get to do life from, and I've seen so many cycles and so many seasons of clients and friends and myself go through these cycles of forgetting and remembering, and I consistently see that it's not that what we do...

And people wanna say in the modern world that it's who we are, but it's the degree, I'll say, to which we remember. Because in the remembering, there's no chasing. There's no chasing. There's nothing you need to seek. There's nothing you need to chase. There's nothing you need to look for or become or do or manipulate in order to have anything, because at the end of everything that we want is an experience.

It's an experience of love. It's an experience of wholeness, an experience of bliss and connection. But the truth is that not only are we already of those things, but all reality is those things. All reality is what we want to experience. The very state that we seek is present in all reality.

And so when we remember this truth and we move from this place, everything is from enjoyment. And that doesn't mean that there's not gonna be challenges, but to the highest version of you, the challenges are enjoyment. We actually like challenges. We just in our human experience kinda tell ourselves that we don't, or maybe you tell yourself that we do, that would be a mindset thing.

But then you're already into the Maya, right? The mind is already somewhat coded to the illusion. But from the highest perspective place, it's all for enjoyment. It's all possibilities. It's all play. There's nothing you need to make happen. But from this place, you are a match for miracles because you are a miracle.

And there's nothing you need to do to create that. It's simply a dissolving of everything that gets in the way of that. Something else that's just coming to mind right now is, I think, another thing that primed me for this experience, and I don't really know why this happened, but I don't really need to know why, I can just simply observe that it happened, is that somewhere along the way I dropped... I've deeply committed to energy and this highest spiritual truth as my way and my thing that I bring to the world.

There's a reason that I called my podcast Frequency specifically so that I could remember this truth, and yet I still forget sometimes. But I also can recognize that at some point last year, I started filtering more things through the lens of psychology, and I know a lot about psychology. If I had to guess, I would say that it's some very subtle unconscious part of me that I'm barely even in relationship with still feels like there's a legitimacy that comes by being able to confirm spiritual truths through a psychological or scientific lens.

I don't consciously believe that, but I think that slipped in, and so I started doing that, and that was another gateway to be in a more mind-driven state. And of course, it's interesting. I've been revisiting some of the spiritual texts that have had the most impact on me, and a thing that I was recently reminded of is how a fundamental difference between the Eastern traditions and the Western perspective is that in the Eastern traditions, the mind is considered a sickness in and of itself, and that so much of our work is about getting beyond the mind in our awareness.

And I often like to say it, it's important that we don't totally demonize our mind because there are things that it gives us, our will, and creation, and our executive function. But I think there's a maturing of realizing we can be in high utilization of those things without being a slave to the mind and its perspectives. Because it ultimately is the part that's the most susceptible to conditioning. Even I was just listening to someone speak briefly about some Human Design things, and they were talking about how, even the solar plexus is another place, especially if we have an open solar plexus, that's our emotional center in Human Design.

The solar plexus is very susceptible to outside conditioning and programming as well, right? Other people's emotions. If you had parents that, really intense anxiety or dysregulated. A lot of us millennials are trying to regulate after being parented by really dysregulated parents.

A lot of anger, a lot of things. The emotional centers are very conditionable as well. If we're in a relationship and our partner gets angry, that often affects us. But he was saying even the emotional center is willing to let go, but the mind never lets go. The mind is like a trap, right?

It's the part of us that's the most easily conditioned. It holds on. I often say this in my work that the mind is a record of the past. Do you want a repetition of what you've experienced in the past? No? Well, then the mind isn't a great tool to use. And the ancients knew this.

They recognized this, and it's why so much of the work was about accessing our expanded self, accessing our deeper wisdom, our intuitive guidance, a relationship with spirit and the field and not being reliant on the mind. But in the Western perspective, the idea is that the mind can be fixed, right? Through psychology and personal development and improving ourselves, we can get to a place where we're healed and the mind is good and is sufficient. And in many ways, in the Western world, we put the mind on a pedestal, which I find so interesting, right? In the Western perspective, if you look at how science is almost like a new religion, and there's a certain kind of person that makes up a lot of the population that really worships at the altar of facts, that we really put in the Western world the mind on the pedestal, and I think now are slowly starting to take it off collectively.

But in the East, they knew that the mind loves to separate things, it wants to put things in boxes and go, "Oh, let me analyze this." You can look at it even in the way of the approach to medicine, right? A lot of Eastern approaches to medicine is so much more holistic. It's so much more aware of the system as a whole, and that you cannot influence one part without influencing the whole system. Whereas the Western approach is to separate everything and dissect it and put it in a box, and like this one thing.

How do we treat this one thing, this one pathway, this one cause, this one symptom, this one disease? And of course, there's obviously some advantages that's given us, but we've also seen a lot of disadvantages and the problem that it's caused. And what I often call the Western sickness is that we're just obsessed with doing, pushing, trying to get somewhere, which really in a spiritual sense is an escaping from the present and escaping from what is.

And I think if I could summarize everything that I've experienced and returned to, it was that I got hooked into the seeking, chasing energy, back into this like I need to improve and grow and have more goals and get further, and then, and then, and then, and then what? And then I'll be happier, and then I'll be freer? But I was already happy. I was already free until I got distracted, until I forgot. And now as I remember, nothing in my life has changed, yet I am free, and I am happy again. And in the way that I am oriented to my journey and the way that I practice, I know that I will continue to grow. I know that I'm a match for miracles.

I know that incredible things are coming in the dance for me, but I'm not trying to get to them, and I'm not waiting for them. I've remembered that everything I wanna feel and everything I want to experience is already here. It already pervades all reality in every now. And as I've softened my awareness into that awareness, I am aware of all that I am. I am complete. I am whole. I am overflowing with enough-ness, and there is nothing I need to seek.

And it is from that place of peace and wholeness that I've created all of the magic in my life. And so I invite you, wherever you are in your journey, whatever relationship you're in with this, to also remember this truth to whatever degree is available to you. And if you're interested in getting personalized support on living and being this way from this place of pure magic and alignment and tailored to your custom blueprint and who you really are, then you're welcome to book an alignment call from my inner circle Lux, where I support amazing individuals like yourself in doing this work.
